Notice to Club Members regarding the period and process for nominating directors to RCCN's Board

As announced by President Vladimir Iglesias at RCCN’s Club Business Meeting on October 26, 2026, and as set out in his President’s Report of the same date, the period for nominations for election to the Board for the 2027-2028 Rotary year is open.

At this time, the nominating committee for the Board anticipates vacancies for President Elect and Director, International Service for the 2027-2028 Rotary year.

Pursuant to Article VI, Section 2 of RCCN’s By-laws, please take note of the following process and timing:

  • The nominating committee for the Board will be meeting to nominate a slate of candidates for Director up to double the number of vacancies anticipated on the Board and request any eligible members of the Club who would like to be considered for nomination to advise any member of the nominating committee for Directors of their interest.
  • The Chair of the nominating committee for the Board will advise the Club of their nominees for election to the Board at the regular November business meeting of the Club that will take place on November 23, 2026.
  • Nominations for election to the Board from members of the Club may be made to the Secretary of the Club (Jim Bell) at any time prior to the close of nominations.  Nominations shall close at noon on the day of the regular November business meeting of the Club on November 23, 2026.

The nominating committee consists of Vladimir Iglesias, Gerry Darichuk and Connie Sauter.

In addition to the anticipated vacancies for the 2027-2028 Rotary year, the nominating committee is looking to fill vacancies on the current Board for President-Elect and Director, Fundraising as a result of the recent resignations of Steve Fehr and Peter Roseneck from the Board.  Please let any member of the nominating committee know if you are interested in filling one of these current vacancies.
