Rotary Club of Calgary North supports the Freedom Adapted Scuba Program.
It has made such a big difference in reducing the barrier to scuba training for people with spinal cord injuries and nerve damage. The RCCN funding has allowed people with disabilities that have limited control of their body temperature to access the warmer therapy pool for scuba training with Freedom Adaptive Scuba at a cost that is not prohibitive.
The Rotary Club of Calgary North, in collaboration with two other Rotary clubs, helped Carya obtain a stairlift for their facility in Bowmont to improve access for their clients with reduced mobility. Our support is recognized on site with a plaque.
