Brian Larson and Valerie Mushinski facilitated a review of the Club’s Tactical Plan.
Val noted the plan was developed initially about 18 months ago (May 2017) at a special planning meeting of the Club.  Members had an opportunity to develop a list of the Club’s Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT Analysis), which contributed to the development of the Tactical Plan.
The Tactical Plan identifies five (5) key goals that are prioritized in the following categories:  Membership, Fund Raising, Public Relations, Leadership, and Administrative Processes.
The September 24th session was set up to promote dialogue and conversation.  Members joined a Table Group that reviewed one of the categories.  Following a 15 minute conversation, each group provided a brief verbal and written summary, highlights, and suggestions to improve the Tactical Plan.
Brian indicated the input of the Table Groups would be reviewed and presented to the October Board meeting for review and subsequent review/ratification by the Club membership.
Thanks to everyone for your enthusiastic participation!  Stay tuned.
As a reminder:  ‘Failure to plan is planning to fail’
Jill McCaughey introduced our guests, welcomed Jim M back to the meeting, and noted that we want very much to be of assistance to Linda P who is going through a difficult time right now.  Paul will act as our liaison to see if there is anything we can do to help.

Jill also presented President Sheila with a large wheel that looks very much like our Rotary wheel ans suggested it be passed on from president to president.
Thanks to Barb Darichuk and Jill McCaughey for organizing, hosting, and cleaning up after our Pot Luck Dinner, which was a huge success.
Our Board Meeting was held this past Tuesday evening at David Thompson’s home.  We learned that funds for the Jamaican Project have been released to the Rotary Club of Montego Bay and funds for a 15 person van have been released to Casa Hogar.
Also, our Membership Committee is planning to spend 2 to 3 hours at North Hill Mall on Oct 3rd to see if we can enhance our community image and entice a new member or two.
Youth Services has a new chair: David Thompson will take on that role and Nicole L will take on the role of Safety Officer.
Lastly, expect to hear from Cheryl in the next week or two if you haven’t paid your dues yet.
Lastly, we really need someone to attend the District Grants seminar this year to ensure we are using every possible funding source available.

Next Meeting Oct 1st: expect to be enticed to go on a River Cruise!
