Monday's meeting featured a small turnout but a boisterous one.
President Sheila called the meeting to order at 12:20 p.m. and was
chastised for her lateness in good fun.
Bud Watson presented a cheque for $7,500 to Gail Eckhart from Bethany representing our second and final instalment towards their new Atrium in Southview. Bud also reminded Members and Guests of the Open House on September 7. A good opportunity to attend and view this beautiful facility!
Our program consisted of two Directors giving updates on their Portfolio.
David Thompson led off with an overview of Club Service 1 and a request for any interested members to contact him. Particular areas needing support are Front Desk registration which has been ably manned by Henry Chorney since 1950 (just kidding-but he needs help).
Robb Leibel gave an update on Youth Service and introduced our new inbound Student Stephan from France. He seems like a bright young man and was resplendent in his Blue Rotary blazer emblazoned with logos. We  look forward to getting to know him over the next year.
A reminder there will be no meeting next Monday due to Labour Day holiday.
See you on September 10 for our next regular meeting.
